When school, home or work becomes harder
You may be looking for help because a child is struggling at school, a teenager is withdrawing, or your own mood, attention or anxiety is affecting daily life. You do not need to know the diagnosis to ask for an evaluation. Explain what you have noticed, when it began and which parts of life are affected.
ADHD and child or adolescent concerns
Families can ask about ADHD evaluation and child psychiatry. Bring previous evaluations and relevant school observations when available. Let the provider know about sleep, learning concerns, mood changes and prior care, rather than assuming every attention difficulty has the same cause.
If your child has a 504 plan or IEP, you can bring it to the evaluation. Ask what documentation or coordination the provider can offer. School eligibility and accommodations are determined through the school’s process; a clinical visit does not guarantee a particular school plan.
Adult mental health care
Our team evaluates and treats concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and mood disorders. Adults seeking medication management can discuss prior treatment, benefits, side effects and goals. Ask about current therapy availability and coordinated care options.
When previous treatment has not helped
A review of previous medications, doses, duration and therapy can help your provider assess next steps. Our Mesa practice also offers TMS and ketamine infusions, and patients can ask about Spravato evaluation. These treatments have different eligibility, monitoring and payment requirements and are not appropriate for everyone.
