I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. I have worked in mental health since completing my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from ASU in 2003. Wanting to be involved in mental health from a medical perspective, I returned to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Brigham Young University – Idaho then continued on to a master’s degree in Nursing from Walden University. In my near 20 years of mental health experience, I have enjoyed working with various populations across a number of treatment settings. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and older adults with mental health concerns that range from general to severe mental illness and developmental disabilities. My career has allowed me to gain insight through various lenses that range from the psychiatric emergency room to long-term inpatient and outpatient settings and providing services in the community. My years of varied experience have taught me that we all come from different places and have been dealt different hands. Mental health problems are hard. I know it. But I am truly inspired by watching people succeed. I look forward to teaming up with you, exploring paths to overcome discontentment, and striving to find the treatment that will genuinely improve your life.
