April has been serving as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for children, adolescents, and adults since receiving her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She has worked with clients in acute psychiatric emergencies, severe mental illness, substance abuse and recovery, family practice, long-term residential psychiatric care, and severe mental illness within the judicial system. She also worked within many populations of mental healthcare as a Psychiatric Nurse, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University. Before finding her calling for mental health care and nursing, April’s first career was as a school teacher, serving elementary, Jr. High, and High School populations. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in Education from Grand Canyon University.
